Who are we?

We are Swap. We are a group of architects led by Farnaz Manzour & Mehdi Taheri. Our studio is located in Tehran.

Back in 2019,after graduatting from university, and Caai school of architecture, we decided to start our studio.This is an exciting stage in our architectural life,as this is just the beginning.

Swap is our ongoing Project.

In swap, we discover, we experiment, we learn,we try to solve problems,and we try to get better.We work on architectural projects , competitions,and product design.As young architects, we try to work on projects that we are passionate about,and help us learn through design process.

(2022-...) We are trying to question the ritual way of consuming, perceiving, and designing the things around us, the spaces and buildings (old or new). We are trying to neither repeat ourselves nor the ones before us.

(2019-2021)We believe that whitin every context, there are Unanswered questions (problems),and right there we can find what helps us to answer them in the best way possible.As a matter of fact , not only we are able to answer the question but also give something more to the users, public,the neighbourhood ,or the city.

we won some competitons and stuff over the last years and a few of them make us really proud. (You can find them in the "projects".)

- First place -a memorial element for the railway martyrs national competition ,Tehran, Iran 2021

- Second place - Arak C.E.O. Headquarter national competition , Arak, Iran 2021

- Honorable mention - Development of the area on the right bank of Kazanka River ,Russia 2021

- Fifth place - « From Garden-city to garden of the city» national competition , Isfahan, Iran 2021

- Honorable mention - Institute for sustainable development and urban health, Ahvaz, Iran, 2021
